Fire Mountain Farms Biosolids Permitting Agreed Order
We invite you to comment on Fire Mountain Farms request to approve biosolids operations at five Lewis County sites: Big Hanaford, Burnt Ridge, Homestead, Lincoln Creek, and Newaukum Prairie. If the proposal is approved, it could begin staging and land applying these biosolids as soon as next year on agricultural land. Biosolids long-term storage will be prohibited at all five sites at this time.
Effective comments tell us if we correctly applied current laws, rules, and regulations to this action or provides additional information about the sites (topography, water bodies, etc.) that we should be aware of and evaluate as part of the decision. They:
Are specific. Tell us what your concern is, such as if information is missing from this proposal that may affect an approval for biosolids land application at these sites.
Are focused. Refer to the requirement or permit application information you think should change or is incomplete.
Describe the state or federal rules and regulations you think have not been applied correctly.
