Public Comment Period -- Draft Modification of the Phase I Municipal Stormwater General Permit

The Washington Department of Ecology is releasing the draft modification of the Phase I Municipal Stormwater General Permit for public comment.


Please note that this form is for the purpose of submitting comments to the Washington State Department of Ecology. Commenter contact information is optional. However, contact information is necessary if you want to receive future notices related to this topic.


The current permit went into effect Aug. 1, 2024, and expires July 31, 2029. The draft modification of the general permit, fact sheet explaining the legal and technical basis for the draft permit modification, and information about informational meetings and public hearings can be found on the Municipal stormwater permit webpages.
