Boise Cascade Mill - De Minimis Consent Decree and Interim Action Work Plan - Public Comment Period

You are invited to comment on the cleanup of the Boise Cascade Mill site at 805 North 7th Street in Yakima. Ecology and Yakima County have reached an agreement called a De Minimis Consent Decree, which describes the actions required for the County to fulfill their responsibility of the cleanup. It requires the County to clean up the contaminated wood waste and soil in the path of its planned East-West Corridor road construction.

Public comments are accepted from July 1st through July 31st, 2026.

If more than 10 people request a public meeting, Ecology will offer an opportunity to meet with the community to discuss future cleanup options and strategies.
